Officer Daniel Gonzales Hospital Release

By - Feb 19th, 2025 09:46 am

On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Officer Daniel Gonzales encountered a subject walking down the street firing shots from a rifle. The suspect fired shots at officer Gonzales, and he was shot in the body and calf. Officer Gonzales was rushed to Froedtert Hospital and underwent emergency surgery.

Since he was shot on February 12, 2025, Officer Gonzales, 34, has been in the fight of his life, enduring multiple surgeries but never giving up. One week after the armed criminal tried to kill him simply for protecting the community, Milwaukee Police Officer Daniel Gonzales’ family, friends and co-workers will gather to celebrate as Dan is released from Froedtert Hospital today. The MPA anticipates the time of his release to be around 12:00 P.M. and he will be exiting Door 6.

At this time the family does not wish to be interviewed but would likely make a statement thanking his supporters.
