Notice of Community Meeting for Miriam Horwitz – Appointee to the City of Milwaukee Board of Fire and Police Commissioners

On November 2, 2022, Mayor Cavalier Johnson announced the appointment of Miriam Horwitz to the City of Milwaukee Board of Fire and Police Commissioners. This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Milwaukee Common Council.

The Fire and Police Commission encourages Milwaukee residents to attend a community meeting on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., to interact with Ms. Horwitz. During the meeting, Ms. Horwitz will discuss her background and answer questions from the community, which can be submitted during the registration process or asked directly of the candidate during the meeting.

This will be an in-person meeting held at the Hillside Terrace Family Resource Center, located at 1452 North 7th Street, Milwaukee, WI 53205.

A quorum or negative quorum of the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners may be present for the meeting; however, no formal action will be taken other than information gathering.
