FPC Seeks Community Input on Police Officer Recruitment at its Thursday, November 9, 2023, Meeting

At its next Testing & Recruiting Committee meeting on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 5:30 p.m., the Fire & Police Commission (FPC) will review and discuss its ongoing efforts and strategies to recruit individuals to serve as police officers with the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD).

Recognizing the importance of community input and engagement, the FPC invites members of the Milwaukee community to participate in this discussion. At the meeting, community members will have an opportunity to offer input and suggestions and engage in a discussion on this important topic. Community members may also submit questions and comments in advance by emailing them to fpc@milwaukee.gov.

The FPC is committed to recruiting and hiring qualified and dedicated individuals to serve as police officers, as well as building an officer corps that reflects the diversity of the Milwaukee Community. The FPC encourages community members to attend the November 9th meeting to share their thoughts and ideas for strengthening the recruitment process.
