Not Fit to Serve – After ICE Murders Another US Citizen, Derrick Van Orden Accuses Minnesotans of Insurrection
MADISON, Wis. — In response to ICE murdering American citizen and Green Bay Preble High School graduate Alex Pretti, Rep. Derrick Van Orden spread conspiracy theories about the victim, claiming that Pretti had attacked law enforcement. In addition, Van Orden accused peaceful Minnesotans of waging an “insurrection” and accused Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey of “sedition.”
Van Orden previously spread conspiracies about Renee Good, who was also murdered by ICE, called for civil war after the murder of Charlie Kirk, and has repeatedly encouraged violence after national tragedies.
“Derrick Van Orden is very unwell and has shown he is unfit to hold his office as he defends the government murdering Americans and calling peaceful protestors insurrectionists,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Philip Shulman. “Derrick Van Orden can’t see reality—he’s physically incapable of it—so he can’t be expected to properly represent his district. WI-03 deserves a congressperson who respects the constitution and personal freedoms, not someone like Van Orden who is supporting an un-American militant force that is murdering, kidnapping, and assaulting American citizens.”
