MILWAUKEE, WI–October, 2019 — Two Milwaukee-based entrepreneurs, Alaina Landi and Courtney Dorothy Jane, launched Victress Vibes, a sustainable clothing company dedicated to spreading women’s stories to reshape and celebrate our collective history, and tip the needle towards equality. The iFundWomen Campaign launched October 2nd and will run through the entire month with exclusive pricing on all items.

Each design is inspired by a real woman – in history, or of today – and is hand printed on sustainable clothing. Each piece is accompanied by a QR code that leads directly to the story behind the woman and the inspiration behind the design. Victress Vibes will spotlight various women throughout the year. The first round of women features Yayoi Kusama, a world-renowned Japanese artist, and Dolores Huerta, a Mexican-American social justice warrior who co-founded the United Farm Workers union.

“We’re incredibly excited to be able to do everything we love for a mission that we see as vital in propelling the conversation of gender equality,” Landi said. “We’re literally providing conversation starters in the form of sustainable, ethical clothing,” says Landi.

For the cofounders, Victress Vibes is more than just a business. They aim to make it a movement to spread #victressvibes. They’ll do this by crowdsourcing stories and giving back.

“Our goal is to get people talking more about the women we feature and in their own lives,” Jane said. “Then we’ll pay it forward by donating 5% of each purchase to organizations that support women and girls in STEM, Art or Business.”
