Gathering Place Brewing Company is releasing two new beers, including their first bottle release, the week of December 4th.

On Wednesday December 6th the new brewery will release Murdered by Crows, a coffee rye stout in collaboration with Kickapoo Coffee, in its taproom from 3-10 pm.

  • Murdered by Crows Coffee Rye Stout: Breakfast in a glass! A creamy, spicy rye stout brewed with two types of rye and a Bavarian hefe yeast which adds notes of apple and plum while the addition of Kickapoo Fondo Paez coffee adds some cherry and hibiscus notes. 5.5% ABV 24 IBU

On Saturday December 9th Gathering Place is celebrating St. Nicholas Day a few days late by debuting a special holiday beer, Nicholas the Wonderworker, named for Sinterklaas himself.

  • Nicholas the Wonderworker: A special beery treat from St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, this biere de garde is slightly tart with notes of cherry, burnt sugar, plum, and cocoa. Deceptive and warming, light bodied with a hint of brown sugar sweetness. 8.9% ABV 24 IBU

“As kids we celebrated the tradition of St Nick’s Day by putting out our shoes and receiving a treat the next morning,” said Head Brewer Corey Blodgett. “This year Gathering Place is starting a new tradition with the release of two treats for the adults: Murdered by Crows, our Coffee Rye Stout collaboration with friends at Kickapoo Coffee; and Nicholas the Wonderworker, a big, tart fruitcake of a beer. Prost!”

Nicholas the Wonderworker marks the first bottle release for Gathering Place. Two hundred 750 mL bottles will be available for sale for in the tap room beginning at 12 pm on the 9th. The bottles will be $12 each with a limit of two per person.
