MTEA Sponsors 2020 Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action

MILWAUKEE – Milwaukee Teachers’ Education Association, in partnership with Milwaukee Public Schools and other community organizations, is sponsoring the 2020 Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action.

The Black Lives Matter at School Week of Action will feature daily events next week, February 3-7. All events are free and open to the public and the media. Details are below.

Monday, February 3, 5:30-7:30pm

– Student-led discussion and live broadcast

Wednesday, February 5, 5:30-7:30pm
Black Lives Matter Open Mic Night

Thursday, February 6, 5:30-7:30pm
Intergenerational Snack and Kick-Back Night – Games and conversations
United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County Volunteer Center, 200 W. Pleasant St., Milwaukee, WI 53212

Friday, February 7, 5:30-8pm
Black Lives Matter: A Storytelling Social & Awards Night
