Wisconsin Beef Ranchers on the Chopping Block as MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany Supports Trump Over Wisconsin

MADISON, Wis. — As Trump announces a new plan to flood the U.S. beef market with imported beef, Wisconsinites should remember that MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany can’t be trusted to fight for our farmers. Wisconsin ranchers have called the plan to import beef a “betrayal of U.S. farmers” because of the policy’s negative impact on already-struggling ranchers dealing with smaller herds and higher input costs.

“MAGA Congressman Tom Tiffany has sold out Wisconsin farmers and ranchers before and he’ll do it again,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Congressman Tiffany spent more time cozying up to the Argentinian president and Trump than standing up for Wisconsin cattle ranchers dealing with high input costs. Tiffany can’t be trusted to put Wisconsin farms and ranches before MAGA’s interests.”

Ranchers shouldn’t look to Congressman Tom Tiffany for help, either — Tiffany proudly posted himself with far-right Argentinian President Javier Milei in apparent celebration of Milei’s election win. Shortly before, Trump used taxpayer funds for the $40 billion bail out of Argentina’s flailing economy that allowed the foreign nation to strike a deal with China and increase imports of Argentinian beef at the expense of Wisconsin cattle ranchers.
