MPD Officer Involved Shooting

MILWAUKEE, WI— Today, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at approximately 3:17 p.m., Milwaukee Police officers were dispatched to the 5100 block of North 32nd Street for an entry into a business by two suspects. The caller reported that one of suspects fired shots in their direction. Officers responding to the area saw the two suspects on the 5000 block of N. 37th. Street. Officers approached the armed suspect and gave several commands to drop the gun. An officer discharged his firearm subsequently striking the suspect. The suspect is a 41-year-old male and sustained fatal gunshot injuries. The suspect’s firearm was recovered next to him. The second suspect, a 34-year-old male, was arrested. The officer that discharged his firearm is a 43-year-old male with over 10 years of service. The officer will be placed on administrative duty as is routine in officer involved shootings. The Milwaukee Area Investigative Team will be investigating this incident. The Wauwatosa Police Department is the lead agency. This is a fluid and ongoing investigation. Video related to this incident will be released in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure 575.
