Milwaukee, Wis. (August 29, 2024) – Mount Mary University will host a panel of local fashion designers, innovators and leaders on Sept. 9, 2024 to celebrate the start of Milwaukee Fashion Week. The event will take place from 5:30–8 p.m. in Stiemke Hall on the Mount Mary University campus and is free and open to the public.
This discussion will dive into the heart of the contemporary fashion scene, exploring the dynamic intersection of individuality, sustainability and innovation in the industry. Panelists will explore how groundbreaking ideas are shaping the future of building brands, and will share ways to express unique style while minimizing fashion’s environmental impact.
“This event focuses on the very urgent topic of sustainability, which everyone in fashion—educators, students, employees and consumers—must have top of mind to preserve our collective future,” said Ashley Brooks, chair of the Mount Mary University Fashion department. “This is an opportunity to learn about global sustainability initiatives as well as the small, daily acts any individual can do to make a difference.”
Milwaukee Fashion Week runs from Sept. 9-15. To register for this free event or to view other featured highlights of Milwaukee Fashion Week, please visit www.mkefw.com.
