More teachers in schools is a positive outcome for students

I want Milwaukee Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Brenda Cassellius to know that she has support. Change is never easy, and it takes courage to make tough decisions – especially when they challenge the status quo. However, at the heart of this situation are the children, and they must remain our top priority. If we have the ability to ensure they receive a quality education, why wouldn’t we? If that means placing qualified, licensed, and certified teachers in the classroom rather than in central office roles, then I consider that a step in the right direction and one we should be willing to take.
