MKE Highlights Convenient Parking, Helpful Amenities, and Nonstop Flights Ahead of Busy Spring Break Season
Tips to help travelers get the most out of their travel experience
MILWAUKEE (March 10, 2025) – Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is helping travelers maximize their spring break travel experience by sharing information about MKE’s convenient parking options, useful airport amenities, and easy nonstop flights to popular warm-weather destinations. With the busy travel season quickly approaching, here are some tips to help MKE travelers navigate the Airport with ease:
By far the Airport’s most convenient parking option, MKE’s Valet Parking allows passengers to drop off their car at the departures curb just steps from the Airport entrance. A valet attendant will park your vehicle in a secure lot and will have your car ready at the curb when you return from your trip.
Use Daily Parking
MKE’s Daily Parking is another great option for travelers looking to keep their parking experience stress-free. Daily Parking is located in the parking structure conveniently attached to the Main Airport Terminal, making it just a short walk from your car to your gate. Plus, covered parking keeps your vehicle safe from any surprise spring snowfall while you’re gone.
Download the MKE SmartPark
If you’re not using the MKE SmartPark mobile app, you’re missing out on valuable parking perks and helpful tools. App users can easily scan in and out of all MKE parking lots, make reservations to secure a parking spot ahead of time, and even earn loyalty points that can be redeemed for free parking.
Plan Ahead & Reserve Parking
Reserving your parking spot ahead of time is the best way to start your trip off on the right foot. We recommend making your parking reservation in the MKE SmartPark app at least one week before your flight. Lots fill up quickly, especially during spring break—don’t wait to reserve!
Arrive Early & Check Your Coat
Getting to the airport early is always a good idea, especially during the busy spring break season. Travelers should plan to arrive two hours before their flight, especially if they’re traveling with children or checking bags. For those headed to warm-weather vacation spots, MKE’s Coat Check service removes the need to pack your bulky winter coat in your luggage. The service is available in the Summerfest Marketplace for just two dollars per day.
On those peak days, MKE is offering 39 departing flights to warm-weather vacation destinations—28 to destinations in Florida, plus another 11 to cities in Arizona, Mexico, and the Caribbean. In the entire month of March, airlines in Milwaukee will offer approximately 350,000 departing seats, which is similar to the number that were available during the 2024 spring break season.
Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport offers nonstop flights to 30+ destinations coast-to-coast, and more than 200 international destinations are available with one easy connection. MKE is served by Alaska, American, Delta, Frontier, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, Sun Country, and United. The complete list of nonstop cities can be found at flymke.com.
MKE, the winner of 2021 and 2022 ASQ Best Airport – North America awards for outstanding customer experience, is owned by Milwaukee County and operated by the Department of Transportation, Airport Division, under the policy direction of the Milwaukee County Executive and the County Board of Supervisors. The Airport is entirely funded by user fees; no property tax dollars are used for the Airport’s capital improvements or for its day-to-day operation.
