Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) Announces Programming Details for 150th Anniversary Celebration

Milwaukee Fire Department (MFD) is sounding the alarm for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration — The MFD 150th Anniversary Celebration — happening Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Henry Maier Festival Park’s Southgate Entrance.

This FREE, family-friendly event will honor 150 years of service and community pride. Visitors of all ages are invited to enjoy a rare, behind-the-scenes look at Milwaukee’s firefighting history and future.

## The MFD 150th Anniversary Celebration will feature:
– Live demonstrations showcasing the skill and dedication of Milwaukee’s firefighters
– Meet firefighters and explore historic and modern fire apparatus, ambulances, and specialty vehicles
– The 2025 Milwaukee Fire Truck Pull — teams compete to pull an 80,000-pound fire truck for charity
– Live music from Milwaukee’s own Chasin’ Mason
– Hands-on activities for all ages
– Food and beverages from local vendors, including Ian’s Pizza, Pina Cocina and Cantina, and Ward’s Burger Express

Whether you’re there for the adrenaline-pumping demonstrations, the history, the food, or simply to celebrate with your community, this event is sure to ignite your Milwaukee pride.

The MFD 150th Anniversary Celebration is brought to you by Milwaukee Fire Department, with support from a host of community partners and sponsors. The event commemorates the legacy of the department and its commitment to protecting the city since 1875.
