By - Jul 22nd, 2024 02:00 pm

Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 is hosting a series of giveaways and open tabs from July 22 – 26, 2024 to thank Downtown for welcoming tens of thousands of visitors this month. The giveaways, which are part of a “wrap party” celebrating pride in Milwaukee, feature a little something for everyone and can only be found Downtown.

“Milwaukee has welcomed a significant number of visitors this month, and our Downtown businesses, employees and residents have done an exceptional job of representing Milwaukee’s signature hospitality,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. “We want to express our thanks to all who showed off their Milwaukee pride and made our city really shine.”

Featured giveaways include daily limited “open tabs” at Downtown eateries. Daily announcements via Milwaukee Downtown’s social media channels will reveal which restaurant will have an open tab that day, inviting diners to have their bill fully covered by Milwaukee Downtown up to a set amount. Participating restaurants include: 600 EAST Café, Grassroots Salad Co., Third Street Tavern, and more surprise locations.

In addition to the open tabs, Milwaukee Downtown will give away hundreds of the People’s Flag of Milwaukee  throughout Downtown over the course of the week, including hand flags, garden flags, and Milwaukee flag pins. Look for Milwaukee Downtown’s Public Service Ambassadors and watch for pop-up giveaway locations via Milwaukee Downtown’s social media channels.

To celebrate Rainbow Summer: HIGHLIGHT, featuring Atelier Sisu’s Elysian Arcs public art installation, hundreds of rainbow cookies will be given away on Tuesday, July 23 at 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the Marcus Performing Arts Center Outdoor Grounds. Plus, 200 Pete’s Pops will be given away in Westown in a pop-up giveaway, with the date and time to be revealed via Milwaukee Downtown social media.

For all the details on giveaways, keep an eye on Milwaukee Downtown’s Facebook, Instagram and X (Twitter) channels.
