Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 launches Downtown Community Perceptions Survey
The survey aims to understand how the community interacts with downtown Milwaukee and what perceptions are on downtown’s offerings, amenities, attractiveness and more.
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (July 11, 2019) – In an effort to better serve its residents, workers and guests, Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21 has partnered with a southeastern Wisconsin-based research consultant, School Perceptions, to quantify and chronicle the rapid changes in downtown Milwaukee. Utilizing an online survey tool, Milwaukee Downtown is hoping to better understand the characteristics, attitudes, preferences and behaviors of its various users.
The survey, which is available in English and Spanish, aims to understand how the community interacts with downtown Milwaukee and what perceptions are on downtown’s offerings, amenities, attractiveness and more. It will also provide a platform for downtown users to share what they value most about downtown and suggest ways that Milwaukee Downtown can help improve future experiences—valuable feedback which will then be leveraged in the organization’s strategic planning process. The Downtown Community Perceptions Survey opened to the public this week and will be available at www.feedback2019.com through August 12, 2019.
To cast the net far and wide, extensive outreach will be conducted at various downtown events through a street team that is supported by volunteers from a Future Milwaukee cohort. In addition, the survey will be promoted through postcards; a social media campaign on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram; on the organization’s website; and through e-newsletters.
As an incentive for completing the survey, respondents may enter to win a $100 gift certificate to a downtown restaurant. One winner will be randomly selected at the end of each week until the survey closes.
Milwaukee Downtown will package the findings of the Downtown Community Perceptions Survey in an executive summary report. The organization intends to release these findings at their annual meeting this fall.
