Milwaukee Downtown announces first Taste & Toast event March 2 – 6
Five nights of bottles and bites at downtown Milwaukee restaurants
MILWAUKEE, Wis. (January 29, 2015) – Taste & Toast, a new happy hour event coordinated by Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21, will heat up restaurants, bars and lounges March 2 – 6. The promotion features specially-priced small plates, appetizers and libations, alcoholic and some non-alcoholic, from 4 to 7 p.m. at over 25 downtown establishments. Among this year’s participants are: Ale Asylum, Bacchus, Blu, The Brown Bottle, Carson’s, CLEAR, Club Charlies, Coquette Café, Cubanitas, Distil, Harbor House, Indulge, Karma Bar & Grill, Mason Street Grill, Mi•key’s, Miller Time Pub & Grill, Millioke, Milwaukee ChopHouse, Monarch Lounge, Onesto, Port of Call, Rumpus Room, Smoke Shack, Swig, Tulip, Umami Moto and Water Buffalo.
“Downtowns across the country are seeing growing success with cocktail weeks,” said Beth Weirick, CEO of Milwaukee Downtown, BID #21. “We decided to put our own twist on the craft by pairing concoctions with fabulous fare. As with Downtown Dining Week, we hope to introduce guests to new apps and mixers, as well as a new restaurant.”
Menus of Taste & Toast participants will be posted at www.milwaukeedowntown.com in mid-February. Taste & Toast is a prelude to Downtown Dining Week 2015, which will take place June 4 – 11.
