MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee County Board of Election Commissioners met as a County Board of Canvassers on Thursday to canvass the results of the February 16, 2021 Primary and Special Elections.

The canvass process confirms the unofficial election results released on election night, and produces the “official results” of elections held in Milwaukee County.

Yesterday’s canvass found no major discrepancies from previously released unofficial election night results. Canvass results will be sent to the Wisconsin Elections Commission for certification.

As is protocol, a voluntary County audit of randomly selected wards was completed at the canvassers meeting. Wards selected for this audit were Village of Greendale wards 5 and 6; Village of West Milwaukee wards 1,2 and 5; and City of Oak Creek wards 16, 17, 18 and 19. No irregularities were found during this audit.

The winners of the 2021 Primary and Special Elections will move on to the 2021 Spring Election on Tuesday, April 6.
