Made up of more than 75 musicians from across Southeastern Wisconsin, the chorus began in November 1933 when nearly 20 graduates of Milwaukee’s Riverside High School A Cappella Choir decided to continue singing under the direction of their high school conductor. The Choristers perform Christmas and spring concerts in December and April each year.
Concerts are supported in part by a Wisconsin Arts Board grant with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts and a Milwaukee County CAMPAC Arts Fund grant.NOTE: This press release was submitted to Urban Milwaukee and was not written by an Urban Milwaukee writer.
