Milwaukee Bucks Re-sign Bobby Portis Jr.
MILWAUKEE (July 7, 2025) – The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed forward Bobby Portis Jr.
In his 10th NBA campaign, Portis Jr. appeared in 49 games (7 starts) with Milwaukee last season, averaging 13.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and a career-high 2.1 assists per game while shooting 46.6% from the field. He tallied 11 double-doubles, including six when coming off the bench (T-3rd in NBA), and he recorded the highest-scoring double-double of his career on Dec. 21 vs. Washington with a season-high 34 points and 10 rebounds, as well as a career-best eight assists.
Originally selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 22nd overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Arkansas product has seen action in 654 games (153 starts) with Chicago, Washington, New York and Milwaukee. He holds career averages of 12.0 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, and he’s shot 47.8% from the field and 38.3% from three. One of the NBA’s leading reserves, Portis Jr. has also logged 80 double-doubles off the bench in his career, marking the fourth-most in NBA history.
