Milwaukee Bucks Expand Partnership with GFL Environmental
MILWAUKEE (Nov. 11, 2024) – The Milwaukee Bucks have expanded their partnership with GFL Environmental, the Official Disposal Partner of the Bucks and Fiserv Forum. The environmental services company will become a sustainability partner of the Bucks to support the organization’s sustainability initiatives.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Bucks by becoming an Official Sustainability Partner,” said Mike Stoeckigt, GFL Environmental Area Vice President. “In conjunction with our new state-of-the-art Wisconsin Material Recovery Facility (MRF), our mission is to have a responsible outlet for recycling at Fiserv Forum and throughout the state of Wisconsin. We’re proud to provide fans at Fiserv Forum an easy opportunity to recycle and help us take care of the environment.”
GFL Environmental’s new MRF, located in Horicon, WI, was designed to handle an increased volume of recyclable materials as well as adapt to Wisconsin’s future recycling needs. The facility can recycle mixed paper, corrugated cardboard, newspaper, PET, HDPE natural, HDPE color, polypropylene, aluminum cans, glass, steel, scrap metal and bulky, rigid plastics. GFL Environmental is also a leader in recycling education and offers public tours of the new facility to raise public awareness of the best recycling practices. “Sustainability is a key part of our mission and expanding our partnership with GFL Environmental helps us further build our in-arena sustainability initiatives,” said Matt Pazaras, Bucks Chief Business Development & Strategy Officer. “As a LEED GOLD certified building, partners like GFL Environmental are crucial to support new sustainable innovations and practices at Fiserv Forum.”
