Milwaukee Bucks Acquire Patrick Beverley
MILWAUKEE (Feb. 8, 2024) – The Milwaukee Bucks have acquired Patrick Beverley from the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Cameron Payne and a 2027 second-round draft pick.
A 6-2 guard, Beverley is in his 12th season in the NBA and holds career averages of 8.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals across 640 games (510 starts) with the Rockets, Clippers, Timberwolves, Lakers, Bulls and 76ers. The Arkansas product has earned All-Defensive Team honors three times in his career, including a First Team selection following the 2016-17 season and a Second Team nod after the 2013-14 and 2019-20 seasons.This season with Philadelphia, Beverley averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 19.6 minutes per game across 47 appearances (5 starts). Originally selected by the Lakers with the 42nd overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Chicago native spent last season with the Lakers and Bulls and averaged 6.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 67 games (all starts).
Signed by the Bucks as a free agent this offseason, Payne saw action in 47 games with Milwaukee and averaged 6.2 points, 2.3 assists and 1.3 rebounds in 14.9 minutes per game.
