Milwaukee Brewers Vice President Information Technology Derek Hyde Wins 2023 WI ORBIE Award

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers are proud to share that Derek Hyde – Vice President Information Technology recently took home the honor of 2023 Wisconsin ORBIE Award in the Corporate category. The award was presented by WisconsinCIO and is the premier technology executive recognition program in the United States.

The ORBIE honors chief information officers who have demonstrated excellence in leadership. Finalists and winners are selected by an independent peer review process, led by prior ORBIE recipients, based on leadership and management effectiveness; business value created by technology innovation and engagement in industry and community endeavors.

“Derek has navigated several challenging projects for the Brewers, with his focus on driving organizational value from two key areas: business operations and business continuity,” said Brewers Chief Operating Officer, Marti Wronski. “Derek is a highly respected member of our management team. He leads with care and effectiveness and understands the vast impact his role, and his team’s role, has on the success of the Brewers organization. It’s my sincere pleasure to extend our congratulations to Derek for this great achievement.”

The award was presented at the Wisconsin ORBIE Awards at Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.

WisconsinCIO is one of over 30 chapters of the Inspire Leadership Network, a national membership organization comprised exclusively of CIOs from public and private businesses, government, education, healthcare and nonprofit institutions.
