Milwaukee Area Labor Council Statement About The Couture

We applaud the Milwaukee Common Council on their dedicated work to move The Couture development, valued at $188 million, to the final approval stages.
Barrett Lo Visionary Development is ready to break ground the 44 story development and the members of the Milwaukee area building trades welcome this new project. The Moderne project, a previous Barrett Lo development in downtown Milwaukee, was performed on time and on budget with union labor.
More than 75,000 work hours on The Moderne were performed by un/under employed residents of the City of Milwaukee. More than $7 million in contract work was executed by Milwaukee small and minority business enterprises.
As the economy begins tis recovery from the pandemic, work opportunities are of utmost importance. We look forward to another win for the community with The Couture.
