MCSO Deputies Arrest Man for OWI – 6th
The driver, Eloy Mena, admitted he was the operator of the vehicle.
Milwaukee, WI – (October 15, 2019) This morning, at approximately 2:36 a.m., MCSO deputies were conducting a security patrol of southbound I-43. They stopped to assist what appeared to be a disabled vehicle, in the distress lane, on southbound I-43 at W. Rosedale Ave. The operator was walking away from the vehicle as the deputies stopped to assist.
The driver, Eloy Mena, admitted he was the operator of the vehicle. While talking with the deputies, Mr. Mena displayed signs of impairment. He performed poorly on the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and submitted a breath sample that registered a .205 BrAC on a PBT. Mr. Mena was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI) – 6th Offense, which is a Class G felony, and carries a ten year sentence if convicted.
