McGovern Park to Host Mike Taylor’s 3v3 Safe Summer Basketball League and Wellness Fair

MILWAUKEE – Health Connections Incorporated (HCI), in partnership with Mike Taylor and the Taylor-Made Foundation (TMF), and the MKE Black Grassroots Network for Health Equity (MBGNHE) has announced the launch of their 3v3 Safe Summer Basketball League and Wellness Fair at McGovern Park in Milwaukee County’s 7th District. Supervisor Felesia Martin made the following statement: 

“I am thrilled to welcome the 3v3 Safe Summer Basketball League and Wellness Fair to McGovern Park! This program provides a fantastic opportunity for our young people to develop important skills, build confidence, and foster a sense of community. I encourage everyone to join in and make this summer one filled with healthy competition, personal growth, and fun!” 

The four-week Safe Summer Basketball League will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 11th through August 8th, between 4 and 8 p.m. at McGovern Park, 5400 N 51st Blvd, Milwaukee, WI, 53218.  

The basketball league will be open to youth between the ages of five and sixteen. Sign up here. 

The wellness fair, open to all ages, will run parallel to the basketball league throughout the summer and will feature a range of activities such as financial literacy workshops, meditation, breath work, yoga, guest speakers, and more.
