Marquette VP of university relations, general counsel named to Menomonee Valley Partners board of directors
MILWAUKEE — Paul Jones, vice president for university relations and general counsel at Marquette University, has been named to the board of directors for the Menomonee Valley Partners, Inc., a nonprofit that serves as the lead agency in the redevelopment of Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley.
The MVP board of directors is made up of community and business leaders from around the city, as well as representatives of regional and local municipality resources. Jones replaces Lora St
“I’m honored to serve on the board of an organization that is doing so much good to revitalize and maintain a valuable part of the city of Milwaukee,” Jones said. “In my work with Harley-Davidson, Near West Side Partners and now Marquette, I’ve worked with the Menomonee Valley Partners over the years. I know Marquette is proud of its engagement with MVP to continue the revitalization of the Menomonee River Valley for the benefit of greater Milwaukee, as well as our campus community.”
As vice president for university relations, Jones leads many of Marquette University’s external-facing functions, including marketing, communication, public affairs, and corporate and community engagement. The mission of the Office of University Relations is to serve the Marquette community as strategic partners, connectors and storytellers, with the ultimate purpose of elevating the Maquette brand to transform lives.
Since it was founded in 1999, Menomonee Valley Partners’ mission is to revitalize and sustain the Menomonee River Valley as a thriving urban district that advances economic, ecological, and social equity for the benefit of the greater Milwaukee community. The organization serves as a convener and coordinator by engaging stakeholders, articulating a vision, leveraging funding, and aligning partners to accomplish shared goals.
