Marquette Looks to Continue BIG EAST Success

Golden Eagles host No. 14 Creighton in Thursday battle

The Golden Eagles opened the regular season 2-0 last weekend after sweeping Providence and UConn. MU closes out its 11-match home stand this weekend against No. 14 Creighton and DePaul.

MU will face the Bluejays on Thursday, with first serve slated for 6 p.m. The first 100 students will receive a free Shake Shack burger and all fans have the chance to receive a gold rally towel.

The Golden Eagles will match-up against the Blue Demons on Sunday at 3 p.m.

HISTORY x OPPONENTS
MU and Creighton have met a total of 35 times in program history, with the Bluejays holding the series record 29-6. Creighton enters the contest on a four match winning streak after defeating Butler, 3-0, last weekend. The Bluejays and the Golden Eagles are both undefeated in conference action.

DePaul enters the match 9-4 and will face No. 14 Creighton on Saturday before making the trip to the Al.  The Blue Demons and the Golden Eagles have met a total of 41 times in program history. MU owns the all time series 34-7.

IN THE RANKINGS
Marquette is represented by two Golden Eagles in the NCAA rankings:

Freshman Isabela Haggard is No. 20 in the NCAA for assists per set, averaging 10.23.

Natalie Ring is ranked No. 18 in attacks per set (11.61), No. 13 in kills per set (4.66), and No. 13 in points per set (5.26).
