Mandela Barnes Statement on the Retirement of Justice Stephen Breyer

Today, U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer announced his decision to retire at the end of the current term. In response, Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes released the following statement:

“I want to thank Justice Stephen Breyer for his many years of service on the U.S. Supreme Court. I have full faith that President Biden will nominate an exceedingly qualified nominee, and I look forward to reviewing their record on the issues that matter to Wisconsinites. I expect the Senate to do its job by providing a fair, thoughtful, and swift confirmation process.”
