Maga Extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany Is Terrible for the Economy
MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsinites are suffering under MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany’s cost-raising policies, and his 100% voting record with Trump shows he won’t stop tanking our economy with his toxic agenda that raises the costs of everyday goods by driving up inflation and protecting tariffs.
“Congressman Tiffany’s only plan for Wisconsin’s economy is to run the cost-raising MAGA playbook in Wisconsin,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “In D.C., Congressman Tiffany has championed the policies that have sent our economy into a tailspin and raised costs on working Wisconsinites — voting to protect tariffs and the war-of-choice in Iran that sent gas prices skyrocketing and for cuts to healthcare that did nothing but make life more expensive.”

- Inflation numbers show that Wisconsin households are paying $2,267 more on average for everyday essentials since Trump took office, thanks to the MAGA agenda that Tiffany has rubber-stamped time and time again. Wisconsinites now pay $549 more for housing and $390 more for transportation.
- Congressman Tiffany voted seven times to protect Trump’s tariffs even as Wisconsin companies and consumers paid billions in tariffs and Wisconsin farms lost trading partners, struggled to afford equipment and fertilizer and farm bankruptcies skyrocketed.
- Tom Tiffany strongly supports tariffs and has said “I support them. I mean, tariffs have certainly had an impact” and even admitted tariffs would cause Wisconsinites pain, saying “there have been some people that have been hurt by the tariffs, there’s no doubt about it.”
- Congressman Tiffany endorsed Trump’s war-of-choice with Iran, which has sent gas and diesel prices skyrocketing in Wisconsin and has driven up costs across the board.
- In January, Tom Tiffany took a selfie in front of a Wisconsin gas station and told Wisconsinites that 2026 would be “the cheapest year for gas” in the past six years thanks to MAGA policies. Following a six-day run of daily gas price increases, Tiffany shrugged off the pain Wisconsinites feel at the pump, calling the widespread backlash to MAGA’s devastating high-cost agenda a “bit of a slump.”
- Tom Tiffany voted for MAGA policies that have increased costs for the average American family by nearly $181 on utility bills in 2025.
- Despite claiming he would “stop Wall Street” from buying up homes and cut red tape to make housing more affordable in Wisconsin, on three separate occasions, Tiffany skipped a vote in Congress on a bill that would do just that this year.
