Local artists encouraged to submit entries for 2024 Bronzeville Artwalk
Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is inviting high school, college, professional, and amateur artists to submit their work for the Bronzeville 2024 Artwalk. The event offers artists a chance to highlight their creative interpretations of the theme “Evolve & Emerge” in various businesses during Bronzeville Week (Aug. 3rd – 10th) and during the capstone event on August 10th.
Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces to be displayed during the event. Submissions are due by Sunday, July 21, and additional information and submission instructions can be found here. High school and college age participants are eligible for supplies scholarships. Winners will be announced at the capstone gallery event on August 10.“The Bronzeville Week Artwalk is always a fantastic display of the wealth of local artists that live right here in Milwaukee,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “Submissions are now being accepted, and I would encourage all youth, adult, amateur and professional artists to submit their nominations for this year’s event. I believe the theme ‘Evolve and Emerge,’ can lend itself to some amazing pieces of art in all forms and interpretations.”
