Libertarian Party of Wisconsin Certifies Electors For The 2024 General Election

By - Oct 2nd, 2024 10:19 am

The Libertarian Party of Wisconsin (LPWI) held a hybrid meeting on October 1, 2024 in room 400NE in the Wisconsin State Capitol and on Zoom for the purpose of certifying their electors for the 2024 general election in November. Due to inconsistent messaging and an apparent misinterpretation of state law by the Wisconsin Election Commission (WEC), the LPWI held a bureaucratic, procedural gathering to certify their electors under Wisconsin Statute 8.185(2).

The LPWI confirmed and certified that Tom Leary, Phil Anderson, Bryce Thon, Kristin Walker, Jeff Kortsch, Michael Schisel, Timothy Krenz, Tyler Danke, Nate Gall, and Michael Chianese will represent the party as electors for the 2024 general election.

“Despite Wisconsin Elections Commission Chair Jacobs‘ statements about the legitimacy of the Libertarian Party and other parties beyond the duopoly and how she thinks a vote for anything beside an R or D is a wasted vote, the WEC staff acknowledge the legitimacy of LPWI in reserving a room in the Capitol for us to select our Presidential Electors. LPWI met today as a show of our pursuit of Liberty and to give a voice to those who want freedom rather than corruption.” – Brian Bell, LPWI Treasurer
