Latino Arts Hosts Editor of Wisconsin Latino Anthology

Latino Arts will celebrate the Wisconsin Latino Anthology’s latest release, I Didn’t Know There Were Latinos in Wisconsin, Volume III, on February 12

Latino Arts will celebrate the Wisconsin Latino Anthology’s latest release, I Didn’t Know There Were Latinos in Wisconsin, Volume III, on Thursday, February 12 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Latino Arts Gallery. The event will include a “Meet the Authors” and book signing at Latino Arts Gallery, located at 1028 South 9th Street, Milwaukee Wisconsin 53204

Oscar Mireles, editor of I Didn’t Know There Were Latinos in Wisconsin, Volume III, will read at the event, along with several local Hispanic writers. Mireles was the former Associate Executive Director of the United Community Center and Director of Cultural Arts when I Didn’t Know There Were Latinos in Wisconsin, Volume I was published in 1989.

The anthology includes poems and stories from more than thirty Wisconsin Latino writers.

The book is published by Cowfeather Press under the direction of Sarah Busse and Wendy Vardaman, currently the Co-Poet Laureates of the City of Madison, Wisconsin.

The public is cordially invited to attend this FREE event! Participants can also view the art of Pacia Sallomi’s Tango Colores in the Latino Arts Gallery and enjoy refreshments.
