Kawa Ramen & Sushi Opens At 3rd St. Market Hall

Downtown’s market hall adds authentic Japanese cuisine to its unparalleled vendor lineup

Milwaukee, WI – 3rd St. Market Hall announced today that its newest vendor, Kawa Ramen and Sushi, has opened at the downtown market hall.

The newest addition to the market hall’s lineup offers chashu chicken ramen, rice & poke bowls, Japanese snacks, and will soon offer expertly crafted sushi. Kawa’s ramen is among the most authentic in the city due to the traditional methods used to cook the broth. Not only does the broth take over eight hours to complete, but it was also perfected by tonkotsu ramen experts who arrived from Japan to help craft it.

In addition to offering authentic ramen broth, almost all of Kawa’s ingredients and offerings will be made in-house. “Everything we make in-house,” said Selina. “We don’t get too much from the outside. We bring in fresh salmon, fresh tuna, and we cook it with our homemade sauces.” Kawa and the market hall share the same goal of offering fresh, local ingredients.

This is Kawa Ramen & Sushi’s third location in the Milwaukee area, the first two being on the East Side and in Whitefish Bay. They picked 3rd St. Market Hall for their third location “because I think this concept is pretty interesting for Milwaukee,” said Selina. “I think it will be perfect for us to join the team and make Milwaukee great.”

“I haven’t tasted anything like Kawa’s ramen before,” said 3rd St. Market Hall General Manager, Eric Kaye. “It’s an awesome addition to the market hall and downtown Milwaukee’s food scene.”

Kawa Ramen & Sushi opens daily at 11am in the west part of the market hall. Please visit Kawa Ramen (3rdstmarkethall.com) or Kawa Sushi (3rdstmarkethall.com) for more information on the vendor’s location in the hall, menu, contact information, and other details.
