Jury Duty is a Civic Responsibility
"Today Monday, November 20th, I will once again answer the call and report for jury duty."
(MADISON) – State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee), released the following statement regarding being summoned for jury duty.
“Although it has become a running misconception that jury duty is a tedious and inconvenient task, I believe it is a great opportunity to engage in our shared civic responsibility. Today Monday, November 20th, I will once again answer the call and report for jury duty. This will be my 4th time serving jury duty and I am looking forward to participating in this American tradition. Jury duty isn’t the only way to become involved with civic engagement, I would also ask folks to consider becoming poll workers. The three branches of our government function better when people are involved at all levels.”
