Former Florida governor and presidential candidate Jeb Bush will offer his thoughts on world affairs in a speech and Q&A session April 7 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Waukesha.
The speech will be at 7 p.m. at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, 1500 N. University Drive, Waukesha. Bush is scheduled to speak for 30 minutes, followed by 30 minutes of answering questions from the audience.

The public is invited, and the event is free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. A limited number of seats can be reserved ahead of time by registering online.

Bush was the 43rd governor of Florida, serving from 1999 through 2007. He was the third Republican elected to the state’s highest office and the first Republican in the state’s history to be reelected. In 2016, he was a candidate for the Republican presidential nomination.

Bush has a wealth of practical knowledge to share from his tenure as governor of a battleground state. During his two terms as governor, he championed major reforms in areas ranging from health care and environmental protection to civil service, education and taxes.

Bush currently serves as chairman of Dock Square Capital, a merchant bank headquartered in Miami. He also serves as chairman of the Foundation for Excellence in Education, a national nonprofit he founded to transform education in America. He has been recognized for his contributions to public policy by national organizations including the Manhattan Institute, the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation and the Jack Kemp Foundation.
