I-43 Northbound exit ramp to Capitol Drive set to close this weekend

Closure expected to remain in place until Fall

By - May 6th, 2019 04:12 pm

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is closing the exit ramp from I-43 northbound to eastbound Capitol Drive this weekend. The closure is being done in conjunction with the project at Capitol Drive and Port Washington Avenue. The project is a City of Milwaukee project. There will be one lane of traffic available in each direction on Capitol Drive between 2nd Street and Green Bay Avenue. Delays are expected, and motorists are being asked to consider selecting alternate routes.

The detour route will use the Locust Street exit to accommodate the traffic being diverted from Capitol Drive.
