HYFIN’s Monthly Concert Series ‘Latest and Greatest’ Launches Mar. 1

(Feb.13, 2024) — HYFIN is thrilled to announce the launch of its monthly live concert series, Latest & Greatest, scheduled to premiere on Friday, March 1. The announcement was made by HYFIN’s Director of Programming, Tarik Moody.

Latest and Greatest is designed to showcase and support musicians from across the state, with a particular emphasis on local artists. Held at HYFIN’s Walker’s Point studio, the monthly event promises to be a celebration of community and creativity for Milwaukee’s urban alternative music enthusiasts. More than just entertainment, the concert series aims to spotlight local talent, especially those who may not have had the opportunity to perform at esteemed venues before. Ticket proceeds go directly to support the performers, investing in their work and contributing to the local culture.

The events will be hosted by HYFIN’s on-air personality, Anthony Foster, and will take place monthly throughout 2024. The premiere event on March 1 will feature performances by Troy Tyler and Kia Rap Princess. HYFIN plans to announce the lineup of artists on a monthly rolling basis approximately three weeks before each performance.

Anthony Foster expressed his excitement about the growth of Latest and Greatest, stating, “I’m thrilled to see the growth of Latest and Greatest. It began as a weekly piece of content on HYFIN’s socials with the goal of shining a spotlight on Milwaukee’s Urban Alternative talent. Now, monthly we will be able to do that and more with the addition of this dedicated concert series.”

Tarik Moody commented on the series’ dedication to supporting Milwaukee’s creative economy, stating, “HYFIN has been dedicated to creating a thriving creative economy for Milwaukee artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs since its launch. The series ensures that artists and bands can thrive here, with stage time that not only showcases their talent but empowers them financially. Latest and Greatest provides more opportunity for Milwaukee creatives to be seen and discovered.”

In 2023, HYFIN spotlighted a total of three local artists weekly through its Latest & Greatest social media series, showcasing over 100 artists. The launch of Latest & Greatest represents the next level of support for Milwaukee’s Urban Alternative talent.

Tickets for 2024 performances are available for purchase on Eventbrite or at the door. Doors for all performances will open at 7 p.m., with concerts running from 8 to 9 p.m. A pop-up beverage stand hosted by Discourse Coffee will offer drinks for purchase.
