MILWAUKEE (Nov. 16, 2022) – HYFIN, a Radio Milwaukee station (WYMS-88.9FM HD2), will host the “Blackity Black Holiday Market” on Nov. 26 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center (MPAC) from 12 to 5 p.m.

Hosted in conjunction with MKE Black and MPAC, the market is open to all and will feature 40+ vendors for extensive, Milwaukee-based holiday shopping. The event will also include music curated by HYFIN DJ Anthony Foster.

“We are hosting this market on ‘Small Business Saturday’ to emphasize the importance of intentionally supporting local Black-owned businesses during the holiday season,” said HYFIN Program Director Tarik Moody.

The market gives patrons the opportunity to support a diverse group of makers, artists, creatives and producers; and keep the money they are spending on the holiday season in the Milwaukee community.

“Partnering with MPAC and HYFIN on this event just made sense. Together, we are celebrating our arts and culture, and the community impact Black businesses play in the local economy,” said Ayrton Bryan, interim executive director of MKE Black.

Attendees of MPAC’s “Hip-Hop Nutcracker” on Nov. 26 will enjoy a private 6 to 7 p.m. shopping hour in the “Blackity Black Holiday Market” prior to the 7:30 p.m. performance.

“We are thrilled to host this event at the Marcus Center. I cannot think of a better way to usher in the holidays, or better partners to do it with. We hope this event will be the first of many!” said Lory Bowman, vice president, marketing & communications at MPAC.

SCORE SE and Foureva Media, the market’s official networking sponsors, will provide vendors the opportunity to network with hosts of the market and official sponsors.

Guests can reserve a free ticket for the event on Facebook. The “Blackity Black Holiday Market” is sponsored by Baird, Wells Fargo, Verizon, SCORE SE and Foureva Media.
