MILWAUKEE (February 21, 2019)HNTB Corporation announced that it will relocate its regional office and local workforce of 90 infrastructure planners, engineers and other professionals to downtown Milwaukee this summer. The new office, approximately 24,000 square feet on the 19th and 20th floors in the Two Fifty building located at 250 East Wisconsin Avenue, will put HNTB closer to its clients and projects. It also will accommodate anticipated growth with room for up to 120 employees.

“Moving downtown marks an exciting moment in HNTB’s growth in southeast Wisconsin,” said Mark Kaminski, Vice President of HNTB. “HNTB has provided infrastructure solutions to our clients in Wisconsin for more than 60 years and we are pleased to be joining the vibrant downtown Milwaukee community and investing in a dynamic workplace for our dedicated employees. Downtown Milwaukee is becoming a flourishing destination for engineering, innovation and technology talent and we are eager to be part of that momentum.”

HNTB selected the Two Fifty location because of its centralized downtown location and proximity to clients. “Our new location will facilitate interaction and ideas between teams working collaboratively with clients to implement infrastructure solutions that will improve the region’s mobility and quality of life,” Kaminski said. Access to transportation like The Hop streetcar, I-794 and the future East-West BRT project planned by Milwaukee County also were factors in the decision.

“We welcome HNTB downtown and to a building located directly on the new streetcar route,” said Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. “Downtown’s accessibility to the region, walkability, amenities and attractions provide an energetic and welcoming place for current and future generations of our workforce. The vitality of downtown Milwaukee is key to the strength of the region and state.”

HNTB has worked on, or is currently involved with, some of the most high-profile infrastructure projects in Wisconsin, many contributing significantly to Milwaukee’s resurgence. These include The Hop streetcar, I-94 North-South, Zoo interchange, Fiserv Forum and Jackson and Wilson Park Creek rehab projects. HNTB provides comprehensive professional services for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, City of Milwaukee, Metropolitan Milwaukee Sewage District, Milwaukee County and the Milwaukee Bucks, among others.
