Harambee Art Alley Installation Event
The Harambee Art Alley is a beautiful new open-air art gallery space located at 243 E. Burleigh St.
Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is inviting area residents to attend an exciting community event. The Harambee Art Alley installation will take place on Sunday October 22 at 2 p.m at 243 E. Burleigh St. Artists from around the city will join area professionals and students to create an amazing open-air art gallery.
One day prior, there will be a neighborhood clean-up on Saturday October 21 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., participants will meet at 243 E. Burleigh St.
The Harambee Art Alley is a beautiful new open-air art gallery space located at 243 E. Burleigh St. It will be a key attraction in the Harambee neighborhood, featuring local artists and creating a public tourist destination for the entire city. There will also be ‘little libraries’ in the space with seating for residents to read and enjoy.
Alderwoman Coggs says, “This is a space that can be used by the community year round and will attract art lovers to District 6, foot traffic to our neighborhoods, plus, it gives residents an inspiring space to enjoy.”
