MADISON – Governor Scott Walker joined the people of Wisconsin and the nation today in celebrating the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Governor Walker issued the following statement reflecting on Dr. King’s enduring legacy:
Today we remember and honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., a man who had the courage to stand up for what he believed in and work with passion and purpose for what’s right, despite many obstacles standing in his way. His dedication to freedom, equality, and justice continues to inspire us as Americans every day. We are a stronger and more unified people thanks to Dr. King’s powerful, resonant example.
