Hey there, Governor Tony Evers here wishing a happy Public Service Recognition Week and State Employee Appreciation Day to all the state employees and folks working in public service across the state.
You might review license applicants or tax filings, ensure people have access to lifesaving services, work to protect wildlife and our environment, help folks reenter our communities with the skills they need to be successful, or serve our state in other critical ways.
No matter where you work or the services you provide, the work you do—and how you do it—matters.
It matters to me, and it matters to the people we all have the privilege of serving every single day.
It’s your work that ensures kids have access to a high-quality public education, people receive support that could change or save their lives, protects consumers and holds bad actors accountable, and keeps our roads and highways safe and reliable.
So, today, I want to say thank you.
Thank you for choosing to serve our neighbors, our communities, and our state each day, and for working hard on behalf of the people of our state.
Take good care, and thank you for all you do.
