Gov. Evers Appoints David Patton as Wood County Coroner
This appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Scott Brehm, effective May 15, 2021.

“Coroners play a critical role in our communities and the efforts of these officials do not go unnoticed,” said Gov. Evers. “I am confident that Dave Patton will continue to serve the folks of Wood County with the same level of commitment as coroner as he has shown as deputy coroner.”
Patton has served as a deputy coroner in Wood County since March of last year. In that role, he has performed death investigations and worked alongside local police and fire agencies. Before joining the office of the Wood County Medical Examiner and Coroner, Patton spent nearly 23 years as a firefighter and paramedic with the Marshfield Fire and Rescue Department.
