Girl Scouts Open New Community Membership Center

GSWISE’s South Second Street Center is located at 1017 S. 2nd Street, Milwaukee.

Milwaukee, September 10, 2018 – Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE) is excited to announce a new membership center for its Latina Initiative team to reach and serve more girls and adults in the communities it serves. GSWISE’s South Second Street Center is located at 1017 S. 2nd Street, Milwaukee, and will provide leadership programming and support services for its’ Girl Scout members.

Today, GSWISE’s Latina Initiative serves more than 1,000 girls with caring adult mentors who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, leader)™ to reach her full potential. Girl Scouts provides them with a safe girl-led environment where together they learn-by-doing in a collaborative, supportive all-girl space to take chances, try new things, and learn to succeed through failure – improving all aspects of their lives. The GSWISE bilingual team provides the training, guidance, and support for girls, parents, and volunteers to fully participate in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience.

The South Second Street Center service hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. by appointment by calling 1-800-565-4475.
