GSWISE Strengthens Leadership Team with Appointments of Dionna L. Gavin as Chief People Officer and Kelly D’Amato-Turnquist as Chief Membership Officer
Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast (GSWISE) today announces two key additions to its executive leadership team. Dionna L. Gavin will join as Chief People Officer, and Kelly D’Amato-Turnquist will take on the role of Chief Membership Officer. Both will officially begin their roles in January 2025.
Dionna L. Gavin – Chief People Officer
Dionna L. Gavin brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, with a strong focus on creating inclusive and equitable environments where individuals can thrive. Most recently, she served as Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Froedtert Health, where her leadership resulted in measurable gains in workforce diversity, expanded anti-racism education, and enhanced employee lifecycle initiatives.
“Dionna’s expertise in workforce development, change management, and organizational effectiveness makes her an exceptional fit for this critical role,” said Ana Simpson, Chief Executive Officer of GSWISE. “We are excited to welcome her vision and passion for fostering equity and opportunity as we continue to support both our staff and volunteers.”
Beyond her professional career, Dionna is dedicated to mentoring others and advocating for equitable opportunities. She serves as a board member with Kathy’s House and is a Diversity Leadership Social Council member through United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County.
Kelly D’Amato-Turnquist – Chief Membership Officer
Kelly D’Amato-Turnquist joins GSWISE with more than 26 years of experience in sales, including 20 years in leadership roles. Known for her ability to drive results and lead high-performing teams, Kelly has a proven track record of fostering long-term growth and cultivating collaborative, innovative cultures.
Most recently, Kelly served as Relationship Sales Manager at BMO within the Financial Wellness group, overseeing a broad territory and championing financial literacy initiatives that empower individuals and communities.
“Kelly’s deep experience in leadership, relationship-building, and strategic execution is exactly what we need to grow and strengthen our membership,” said Simpson. “Her passion for empowering others and her commitment to community service will be invaluable in her new role.”
An active community leader, Kelly serves on the Board of Directors with both TEMPO Milwaukee and the American Lung Association of Wisconsin.
With these appointments, GSWISE reinforces its commitment to fostering an inclusive, engaging environment for staff, volunteers, and Girl Scouts of all ages.
