Today is National Voter Registration Day, and with all of the attention and enthusiasm around the upcoming Fall General Election, there has never been a better time to plan ahead and make sure you’re ready to hit the polls. Having a voting plan starts with making sure you are registered to vote.

From finding your polling place to learning about all the issues and candidates up and down your ballot, preparing to vote has never been easier. Start by visiting www.myvote.wi.gov to check your registration status, register to vote if necessary, and then get ready to vote in November.

You can also register to vote by mail up to 20 days before the election, or register in-person at any Milwaukee Public Library during normal business hours. Additional information can be found by visiting milwaukee.gov/election/Voter-Info/RegisterToVote.
