Gathering Place Brewing to Release Porte des Morte
This new addition brings the total number of Gathering Place beers to 9
Gathering Place Brewing Company will release Porte des Morte with an event on Thursday October 5th from 3-10 pm.
Porte des Morte – the name given to Door County by French explorers – is a Belgian tripel fermented with Montmorency cherries from Door County. The resulting beer has subtle, sweet cherry and spicy Belgian yeast flavors and is effervescent with a dry wine-like finish.
“Porte des Morte is based on a recipe I created in my kitchen that won a 2013 Sam Adams homebrew competition,” said founder Joe Yeado. “It’s the beer that started the process that lead to Gathering Place and I’m very excited to share it with others.”
This new addition brings the total number of Gathering Place beers to 9, with a dark rye lager being released on Oct. 12th and a German steam beer following close behind.
Gathering Place Brewing Company is an independent brewery in the Riverwest neighborhood dedicated to crafting vibrant and unique beers that reflect the vibrant and unique community it calls home. Community engagement is integral to the business and Gathering Place will donate at least 1% of sales each quarter to local non-profit organizations.
