Froedtert Hospital and the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) share a commitment to provide superior service to the communities we are privileged to serve. As organizations dedicated to the health and safety of our residents, we value the opportunity to work together to help improve the performance of our respective roles.

To be clear, Froedtert Hospital has never had a policy intended to delay care or create obstacles for law enforcement. Froedtert Hospital values its role in caring for sick and injured officers, as well as supporting law enforcement in gathering information and evidence. Froedtert Hospital is deeply committed to ensuring a beneficial and respectful relationship with MPD.

MPD recognizes that staff policy misunderstandings may have played a role in recent occurrences. We continue to positively work together to create procedures and escalation pathways to address any future issues should they arise. We are dedicated to working with Froedtert Hospital toward a collaborative future so we may provide the best service to the people of Milwaukee.
