Friends of Villa Terrace invite you to celebrate the season and give back with their annual holiday party and toy drive Nov. 30

MILWAUKEE (November 6, 2023) – Milwaukee nonprofit Friends of Villa Terrace will host their annual Italian-themed holiday party and fundraiser, Della Robbia, at the historic Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum on Nov. 30 along with their first toy drive for Toys for Tots.

“Della Robbia offers an opportunity to celebrate our community and the wonderful people and programs brought to the Museum this year,” said Megan Holbrook, president of Friends of Villa Terrace. “It’s also an opportunity to ensure that the Renaissance Gardens and the Museum continue to provide arts and culture programming in the coming year, especially as we look forward to the Villa’s centennial next year. This year, we aim to do even more for our wider community through our toy drive for Toys for Tots.

Della Robbia guests are encouraged to bring a new toy for the organization’s first toy drive. Arrangements have been made with Winkie’s in Whitefish Bay and Fischberger’s Variety in Milwaukee to facilitate shopping. All toys will be donated to Toys for Tots. Community members may drop-off toys during Museum hours before Nov. 30.

Della Robbia begins at 6 p.m. and concludes at 9 p.m. Festive holiday attire is encouraged. Guests will get a first look at the holiday decorations adorning the historic Museum and enjoy an Italian-inspired holiday night. A buffet will feature food from local favorite Glorioso’s Italian Market paired with Italian wines and a selection of cookies from Peter Sciortino’s Bakery.

“Della Robbia is a wonderful annual tradition,” said Alex Chou, one of the event’s organizers. “We celebrate the beautiful Italian architecture that inspired the Villa Terrace and the vibrant community that surrounds it.”

The evening will also feature a performance of holiday music by string quartet Quartetto Con Brio and a presentation by Jeramey Jannene of Urban Milwaukee.

The event is open to the public. Tickets for Della Robbia are available for $90 for nonmembers or $80 for members of the Friends of Villa Terrace. Proceeds will support the annual upkeep and maintenance of the Renaissance Garden and the Villa. Guests should purchase tickets by Nov. 26.

Tickets are available at www.friendsofvillaterrace.org.
