Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs and King Drive Commons Gallery and Studio invites residents to attend It’s About Time…Compared to What? – A Mixed Media Art Exhibit during Gallery Night on King Drive at King Drive Commons Gallery and Studio, 2775 N. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dr. The event will take place (TOMORROW) Friday, October 19 from 5:30-9:00 p.m.
This Gallery Night will feature the timeless talent of artist and craftsman Darron Reed and his uniquely creative wall clocks, along with photographer India McMiller who specializes in portraits of individuals capturing moments of time. Also included is a multimedia artwork called “Whale of a Story” which speaks to the concern about our water and environment, political views, visions, and hopes for the future.
The free gallery night will also include live jazz by rhythm and blues band Mauree and a cultural lecture/discussion on jazz musician Les McCann. Culinary delights will be presented by Pass Da Peas Catering.
